About Us:

SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 200 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 250,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.

What We're Seeking:

We are seeking a Plant Custodian. This full-time position will be Monday-Friday 1st shift 7 am-3 pm CT. This role may occasionally include weekends. The starting pay while training is $18.00/hour.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Sweeping and cleaning plant floors
  • Preparing coil cleaning for Phos and Black Oxide lines
  • Cleaning bathrooms and lunchroom
  • Emptying trash
  • Properly disposing of cleaning chemicals and recyclable materials
  • Plant repairs as delegated
  • Positions involve lots of lifting, standing and walking

Qualifications:

  • Prior Janitor or Custodian experience preferred
  • Forklift experience a plus
