About Us:

SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 250 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 250,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.

What We're Seeking:

We are seeking a full-time entry-level Pieceworker for 1st Shift. Hours: Monday-Friday 7am- 3pm with overtime on weekends as business needs demand. Employees are guaranteed at least $15.00 per hour for all hours worked and may earn substantially more based on production as the pay rate is per piece.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Hand sorting customer parts
  • Fill out timecard
  • Operate the wrap machine when needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment 
  • Practice safe work habits, following outlined policies and procedure
  • Operate a forklift, following all required safety and operational procedures
  • Reviewing and comprehending Shop Orders
  • Be aware of SWD Inc. Company's policy and procedures, including the quality system as defined by ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and ISO-17025 and outlined in the SWD Inc.'s quality, environmental and laboratory systems policy, and procedure manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Entry level position
  • High school diploma required
  • Manufacturing experience and forklift experience is a plus
